Handwoven vintage poncho from Peru. Very fine and densely woven. Random striping occurs in variations of the natural alpaca yarn -a rich caramel brown - alternated with bursts of pink. Textile measures 58” in width and 72” in length (36” when pulled over the head and worn). This authentic poncho was handwoven for practical use, not for the tourist industry. It shows some occasional marks of handwork and daily wear.
